Flipside

I am an internet-savvy serial obsessive who does things like learn Python so I could program an IRC-bot, learn Welsh so I could understand the Super Furry Animals, and write feature film scripts because I can.

I was born and raised in the Dorsetshire countryside, (that’s on the south coast of England, in case you’re not sure), and have lived in Sydney, Cardiff, London and Reading. I currently live in London with my partner, journalist Kevin Anderson. I’m left-handed (”homo superior”, apparently), 5ft 8ins tall, and have a cat called Fflwff - that’s Welsh for ‘fluff’ - who lives in Dorset with my parents.

I have a passion for music, film, writing and languages. I used to play bass guitar in my own band, and still occasionally pick up my acoustic guitar. Strangely, I play bass right-handed and guitar left-handed, just like Jimi Hendrix did. He died shortly before I was conceived - you can draw your own conclusions on that one.

I have collaborated on a short film entitled Nothing Travels Faster Than Bad News, with Vince Holland-Keen. I was co-producer, co-script editor, co-camera-person, actor (I play Lindsay. Badly), flower-wrangler, sound recordist, and special FX make-up expert. I have also voiced a Final Fantasy machinima film with Vince. Both efforts at film making are up online somewhere, and I’ll let you enjoy the thrill of Googling for them.
I abhor the colour pink, preferring instead more interesting colours, like the various shades of black. I am not currently cognizant of my inside leg measurement. I like comics, sci-fi, technology, understanding how people tick, and anything that sparkles. I can make bobbin lace. Technically I’m an Aries and a Metal Boar, but I don’t act like either.

I have no wisdom teeth left.
